Exciting Improvements at Charlotte Keel Medical Practice

CKMP Upgrades V2

We’re pleased to share an update following the news that BrisDoc has been awarded the long-term contract to run Charlotte Keel Medical Practice. This 15-year agreement brings lasting stability and gives us the opportunity to invest in meaningful improvements for our patients and community.

Making Changes That Matter to You

We’ve already started one of our first major upgrades: improving the patient waiting area. Working with a specialist architect experienced in healthcare settings, we’re redesigning the space to be more welcoming, inclusive, and supportive of everyone’s needs. Our focus is on reducing barriers to care and tackling health inequalities. We will keep you updated as the progress develops.

Here’s what’s coming soon:

  • A New Patient Health Pod
You’ll soon be able to check your weight, height, and blood pressure using a simple self-check station. Your results will be added directly to your digital medical record for our clinicians to review. This helps you take an active role in your health and spot any concerns early.
  • Updated Check-In Screens
We’re installing new and improved check-in screens to make arriving for your appointment quicker and easier, reducing queues at reception.
  • Hearing Loops at Reception
Hearing loops are being added to improve communication and accessibility for patients with hearing difficulties.
  • Community Health and Wellbeing Workers
We’re launching an innovative outreach programme with new, paid roles for local residents. These workers will support the community by promoting childhood vaccinations and increasing uptake of vital cancer screenings (breast, bowel, and cervical). The aim is to prevent illness and improve health outcomes by reaching people earlier.
  • A Refreshed Staff Wellbeing Room
We’re also upgrading our staff wellbeing space. We know that when our team is well supported, they’re better able to care for you.

We Want to Hear From You

Your views matter. If you have feedback or questions about these changes, please speak to a member of the team or contact us via the website.

You’re also warmly invited to join our Patient Participation Group (PPG) — a great way to stay informed and help shape the future of the practice.

Thank you for being part of our community. We’re proud to continue this journey with you.
